Trio of TU men's track standouts land spots at NCAA National Championships

Three Tiffin University men's outdoor track and field athletes will compete at the NCAA National Championships.

Collin Jasin, Benedict Draghi, and Jacob McPherson will compete at the national meet. The championships will be held May 26-28 at the Grand Valley State Track & Field Stadium in Allendale, Michigan. Grand Valley State University and the West Michigan Sports Commission will serve as co-hosts for the championships. 

This continues a storied career for Jasin, whose mark of 7.23 meters in the pole vault places him 7th in the country. He is a three-time indoor and one-time outdoor All American in the event who has also won two GMAC championships.

McPherson qualified in the hammer throw, ranking 20th with a mark of 60.36 meters. This is his first outdoor qualification after earning All American honors in the indoor season.

This is Draghi's first national qualifying appearance, as he will be competing in the discus. Draghi currently ranks 17th in the nation with a mark of 53.30 meters.
