Burrows, Curtiss named CoSIDA Academic All Americans

Cameron Burrows and Nikolas Curtiss have been named CoSIDA First Team Academic All Americans.

This marks a school-record fourth CoSIDA Academic All American selection for Burrows, while Curtiss is a two-time honoree.

Cameron Burrows was named GMAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Year. He was GMAC Champion in the long jump, a prelude to his winning the NCAA Division II National Championship in the same event. He also took 4th in the pole vault at the GMAC Championships. Coupled with Burrows's 4th place finish at Nationals in the high jump, he has now totaled 10 All American honors in track and field, including 7 in the high jump. He also has 3 All American honors in the long jump. Burrows also has three GMAC outdoor championshps, having also won the high jump and long jump in 2019.

Nik Curtiss was a top performer for Tiffin this season with a second-place finish at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Nationals in the shot put. He qualified with a mark of 19.78m. Curtiss has a total of seven All American honors in his career. He also finished as national runner-up in shot put at the NCAA Indoor Championships in March.

The 2020-21 Academic All-American Men's Track and Field/Cross Country Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. Burrows and Curtiss made up two of three total GMAC selections to the All American squad.
