ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Tiffin men's track & field competed at the University of Michigan's Silverston Invitational on Friday night, earning two automatic qualifying marks and three additional provisional marks among a field of competition primarily made up of Division I athletes.
The Dragons will now try to defend their conference title next Friday and Saturday when Tiffin hosts the GMAC Indoor Championships in the Heminger Center.
Automatic Qualifying Marks
- Jonte Baker won the 60m with an automatic qualifying mark of 6.70 seconds
- Nikolas Curtiss notched another AQ with a toss of 19.15 meters in the shot put
Provisional Marks
- Jabari Bennett took second in the shot put with a mark of 17.99 meters
- Eric Jackson placed third in the shot put with a mark of 16.78 meters
- Isaiah Allen finished fifth in the shot put with a mark of 16.37 meters
Additional Highlights
- Brandon Lynn finished second in the 60m with a time of 6.98 seconds
- Errik Snell placed third in the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.33 seconds
- Tiffin's 4x400m relay squad placed first with a time of 3:25.31
- Cameron Burrows tied for third in the high jump with a clearance of 2.00 meters
- Collin Jasin took first in the pole vault with a mark of 4.73 meters
- Cameron Burrows finished second in the long jump with a leap of 7.10 meters
- Dorian Holida placed third in the long jump with a mark of 6.53 meters
- Jaelin Williams took first in the triple jump with a mark of 13.52 meters
