Dragons make opening statement at Emory Classic

Tiffin University competed at the Emory Classic hosted by Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, with the men's team hitting two provisional marks on day one.
 
Tristen Durr won the hammer throw with a provisional mark of 58.80m while Toryko Grace also hit a provisional mark in the hammer throw, finishing in 2nd place (56.39m). Toryko was followed by Nikolas Curtiss with 54.43m.
 
Tiffin's men's Distance Medley team of Nicholas Runco, Joe Oren, Jordan Hill, and Kyle Merritt finished 1st in 11:40.10.
 
TU got another first place effort by Quincy Scott, who won in the long jump (7.22m), while Dorian Holida finished 6th.
 
Other top finishers for TU were Errik Snell (5th in 400m hurdles), Lovell Peterson (6th in Hammer), Collin Blochlinger (6th in Javelin), Terson Modeste (6th in high jump), and Matt Ryser (7th in hammer).
 
The meet will continue on March 30.
