A slew of Tiffin University men's indoor track and field standouts will take Pittsburg, Kansas by storm, as TU makes a run at another NCAA National Championship March 8-9.

A total of 13 qualifying performances landed 12 different Dragons a spot on the national stage. Nikolas Curtiss qualified in two events - the shot put and weight throw. Curtiss mark of 18.93 meters would be tops in the nation if not for Findlay's Eldred Henry's monstrous mark of 20.61. Both marks were set at the G-MAC championships on Feb. 23. Curtiss's toss of 19.31 in the weight throw is also ranked 11th in the nation.

Tiffin's depth in the sprints is also evident, as three Dragons qualified in the 60 meters. Two-time 60 meter national champion Lamar Hargrove qualifed with a mark of 6.75 (2nd in the nation), while Jonte Baker was right behind in 6.76 (3rd nationally) and Tajarie Arthurton posted a 6.82 (4th overall).

Errik Snell also qualified in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.02, third nationally.

The rest of Tiffin's selections were in field events. Besides Curtiss, Jabari Bennett and Eric Jackson were picked in the shot put. Bennett's throw of 18.28 is 3rd best overall behind Henry and Curtiss, while Jackson's 17.76 is 7th nationally.

Davis Bowers qualified in the pole vault with 5.14 meters (2nd in the nation), Cameron Burrows earned a nod in high jump with 2.12 meters (2nd overall), and Quincy Scott will compete in the long jump after spotting a 7.61 mark. That mark is tops in Division II this season.

Lastly, two more Dragons qualified in the weight throw. Toryko Grace and his 20.67 toss positions him 5th nationally, while Tristen Durr sports a 19.78 mark (9th).
