Curtiss leads Dragons in Alumni Open track debut

Tiffin University had 10 provisional marks and one automatic mark along with an NCAA national best throw by Nikolas Curtiss, as the men's track team began its season at the Tiffin Alumni Open.
 
The Dragons had 7 first place finishes, including a significant put by Nikolas Curtiss, who hit an automatic NCAA qualifying mark (18.08m) with a great throw of 18.26 meters. He beats Tiffin's Jabari Bennett (17.74m) and Kyle Stump (16.90m), with both throwers also hitting the NCAA provisional mark.
 
Other provisional marks were hit by Quincy Scott in the long jump, as he won the event with 7.13 meters, and Cameron Burrows won in the high jump with a provisional mark of 2.10m. Toryko Grace won in the weight throw with a provisional mark of (20.08m) and Nikolas Curtiss was 4th in the weight throw with another provisional mark of (18.05m).
 
Erik Snell was second in the 60 hurdles with a provisional mark of 8.07 while Tristen Durr hit a provisional mark in the weight throw while taking 3rd place (19.24m). Davis Bowers hit another provisional mark for the Dragons in the pole vault and took 3rd place (4.73m).
 
Other Dragons winning events were Drew Hickman in the 500 in 1:05.37 and Isaac Boateng in the 800 in 2:00.24. Josh Jaster finished second in the 3000m (9:17.52) and Stephen Korir finished 3rd in the 1 mile (4:24.23).
 
Tiffin's men's relay team won in the 4x400m relay as the team of Scott, Lynn, Robinson, and Hickman posted a time of 3:26.58.
