PARK FOREST, Ill. - Tiffin men's tennis opened their spring season at Purdue Northwest on Saturday, falling to the Pride 4-3.
Tiffin got off to a good start with a 2-1 doubles win to earn the first point. The pairings of Gabriel de Oliveira/Hugo Chatras (6-4) and Matthew Telford/Austin Mohamedali (6-2) both earned the victories for the Dragons.
In singles, however, TU was only about to win two of six as Chatras picked up a 7-6, 6-4 win at No. 4 while de Oliveira won 6-2, 1-6, 6-4 at No. 5.
The Dragons will have a very quick turnaround before their next match, as they travel to Davenport Sunday morning for an 8:00 a.m. start.
