Tiffin University (10-4-3) could not hold a second-half lead in the GMAC Semifinals, falling late to Cedarville 2-1.

After a scoreless first half, the Dragons got on the board first when Stephen Owusu took a rebound from a shot by Juan Rosique Alvarez and knocked it into the net in the 49th minute.

Tiffin's defense looked to make the score stand up but Cedarville had other plans. A defensive breakdown allowed Jake Johnson to knock a shot pass Declan Lehmann off a pass from Victor Pomelli to tie the score 1-1 in the 72nd minute.

The Yellow Jackets used the momentum to score again quickly, as Matthew Weller took a pass from Ladd-Patrick Fagerson and scored again in the 76th minute.

Tiffin managed just two more shots over the remaining 14 minutes but none were on goal. Overall TU outshot Cedarville 16-13 and allowed only 3 shots on goal in the game but it was enough for Cedarville to escape with the victory.

Lehmann took the loss in goal, making one save over 90 minutes.

The Dragons, who were ranked second in the region entering the tournament, will now wait to see their postseason fate when the NCAA Regional selections are made Monday, Nov. 7.
