Men’s Soccer Lose 2-0 to Gannon

The Tiffin University men's soccer team was defeated 2-0 by Gannon. 

The game was scoreless at the half despite the Dragons having a golden chance with a penalty kick in the 18th minute. The penalty shot was saved by the Golden Knights keeper to keep the game tied at 0-0 going into halftime.

Tiffin's Mounir Boutarfa had another shot on goal to open the second half but it was saved to keep TU off the board.

The Golden Knights broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute when Lennox Crews slotted it in the low left corner of the Tiffin goal.  

Gannon continued its offensive pressure and scored their second goal in the 79th minute as Furkan Yildirim knocked it home off a cross.

Tiffin's George McCarthy and Juan Rosique both had shots on goal over the closing minutes but both shots were saved to preserve the Golden Knights's shutout. 

Overall GU outshot TU 9-8 with both teams putting six shots on goal. Gannon also held a slim 5-3 edge in corners.

Declan Lehman took the loss in goal, making 4 saves over 90 minutes.
