Dragons suffer tough 2-1 loss to Yellow Jackets

Tiffin University (7-2-2, 4-2-1 GMAC) suffered a tough conference setback in a 2-1 loss to Cedarville.

The Dragons, who outshot Cedarville 12-7, could not put the ball into the net during the opening 45 minutes. Cedarville got an unassisted goal by Sammy Kilimann in the 33rd minute to take a 1-0 lead at halftime.

The Dragons defense continued to play well, allowing only two shots on goal in the game, but both shots resulted in goals for the Yellow Jackets. The second shot on goal came in the 65th minute when Levi Haight made it 2-0 Cedarville.

The Dragons continued to attack, with Caleb Gibbons taking a shot in the 70th minute that was stopped for a save. Leo Hasenstab also got a shot on goal in the 87th minute that was also saved.

Tiffin finally broke through on a penalty kick goal by Joel Daly in the 90th minute but it was too late to pull out the win.
