Dragons win Music City Invitational

Tiffin University finished what it started on day one, holding on to the lead to win the Music City Invitational by two strokes.

The Dragons finished with 564, narrowly edging Trevecca Nazarene's 566. Lindenwood was also close behind with 570. 

Overall the Dragons fell from 274 to 290 in round two but held off a Trojans team that improved from 287 to 279 on day two. This also marks the first road invitational victory since winning the Midwest Regional III in 2015-16.

Michael Weppernig missed medalist honors by one stroke, shooting 137 to set a new TU 36-hole school record. He had rounds of 66 and 71, tying the 18-hole record on day one and setting the new 36-hole mark on day two. The previous 36-hole mark was 138 (Tomas Krivanec 2016-17, Brett Green 2014-15).

Matt Flynn also shot well, finishing fifth overall with rounds of 67 and 72 for 139. Nico Kyprian was 14th (69-73 for 142), while Noah Barth (72-75 for 147) and David Siegel (74-74 for 148) also performed well.

Garrett Kuppler finished 37th as an individual, shooting 77-71 for 148.
