TU finishes fifth at Bell Collegiate

Tiffin University finished fifth at the Bell Collegiate Invitational.

Sandhills Community College won the 12-team invite with a total of 878, while Grand Valley State was second with 887. Ohio Dominican was third with 891, Hillsdale was right behind with 897, and Tiffin finished at 901. 

The Dragons finished the third round with a 303 score, six strokes behind round two's 297. TU posted a 301 score in the first round.

Nico Kyprian tied for first after three rounds with Ohio Dominican's Robert Holden with 214, forcing a sudden-death playoff for medalist honors. Kyprian fell on the second sudden-death playoff hole to officially finish second. Kyprian could not maintain the 69 scores that he posted in the first two rounds, falling back in round three with 76.

Matt Flynn finished in 9th place, shooting 73-72-77 for 222, while David Siegel stayed consistent with rounds of 78-77-78 for 233. Michael Weppernig had the best round three performance, improving by six strokes from round two with rounds of 81-80-74 for 235. Tison Alexander also finished with 239 (84-79-76).
