Strong final round propels TU to 5th at Midwest Regional

Tiffin University had one of the strongest final rounds of the field, moving the Dragons up to a tie for 5th place at the Midwest Regional held at Fox Run in Eureka, Missouri.

TU shot 298 in the third and final round, up 10 strokes from their opening round of 308 and 6 strokes better than their round of 304 in the second round.

McKendree won with a total of 893, edging out Southern Indiana's 899. Missouri-St. Louis and Indianapolis tied with 907 for 3rd, TU tied with Trevecca Nazarene with a 910 score.

David Siegel led the way for TU, opening with 77 before trimming it to 73 in round two and 75 in round three for a 225 total. Michael Weppernig was also right with Siegel, shooting 227 overall with rounds of 76, 77, and 74.

Matt Flynn had a rollercoaster performance, opening with 76 before falling back to 83 in round two. He then turned it around by 11 strokes in the final round, shooting 72 to finish with 231. Nico Kyprian was consistent with 79-77-79 for 235, and Noah Barth opened with a tough 85 but then improved to two rounds of 77 for 239.
