Dragons tie for 6th at Motor City Invite

Tiffin University's men's golf team finished with 627, tying Lawrence Tech for 6th place overall at the Motor City Invitational in Dearborn, Michigan.
 
The Dragons opened with 313 in the first round and finished the second round adding a single stroke (314) for a total of 627. Findlay won the tourney with a 610, while Bellarmine had 612 for second place and Wayne State had 616 in finishing third. 
 
Noah Barth tied for 13th overall and led the Dragons' field with 80 in 1st round and chopped 6 strokes off for 74 in the 2nd round for a total of 154. 
 
Tiffin's next best shooter was Britton Hensel, who shot 73 in the 1st round and 82 in the 2nd round for 155. Samuel Reid shot 79 (1st round) to 77 (2nd round) and totaled 156.  Cameron McCloskey shot identical rounds of 81 for 162 and David Siegel also shot identical rounds of 82 for 164.
 
"With such a demanding golf course and weather conditions, it's always interesting to see what kind of character and grit your players have. A top finish in a solid field has some positives for our team heading into the offseason. We had 3 guys finish in the top 18 which should give them some momentum going into the spring. Now it's time to train and prepare for March! " said Head Men's Golf Coach Jacob Miller.
