Tiffin University men's golf team finished as champions in the Kyle Ryman Memorial Invitational, which was hosted by Tiffin University at Mohawk Golf and Country Club in Tiffin, Ohio.

 

The Dragons shot a 54-hole score of 869. Tiffin University's B-team also performed well, finishing 4th with an 887 score.

 

Tiffin University won the three-round tourney with 869, while Findlay was 3 strokes back with 872. Saginaw Valley State finished with 878 ahead of TU's B-team with a difference of 9 strokes. 

 

The Dragons shot a three round score of 869 (289-285-295) and the TU B-team shot rounds of 297-296-294 for 887.

 

"Words cannot describe how proud I am of these young men. This is the first team championship in over two seasons for us and I am so happy they get to enjoy this moment together on our home course. It is a moment they will never forget. We had some strong finishes by all of our guys coming down the stretch to pull off this win. We have held at least a share of the lead in three of our first four tournaments this fall but I am so proud of how they dug down deep and pulled this one off. This is a total team effort from number one to number eighteen on our roster. It is time to enjoy this win and get ready for our next event in four days," said Head Men's Golf Coach Jacob Miller.

 

Britton Hensel led the Dragons and finished 2nd overall, shooting best with three rounds of 71, 71, and 69 for 211.

 

Cameron McCloskey was the next best shooter for TU and tied for 6th, firing 69 (1st round) to 74 (2nd round) and 75 (3rd round) for 218, while Noah Barth tied for 8th with a 220 (76-69-75). Julian Bartucca (80-71-76) and Samuel Reid (73-78-76) tied for 21st with 227 total.

 

David Siegel (77-69-72) led the TU B-team with 218 and tied for 6th overall, while Tomas Krivanec finished right behind with 221 (71-75-75) and tied for 10th in the event. Ryan Niese (76-74-74) and Eddie O'Brien (73-78-73) tied for 16th with a 224 score and Austin Rohrer finished with a 247 (80-82-85).
