Dragons win 4th straight with 64-59 win over Ashland

Tiffin University (8-9, 6-5 G-MAC) seems to be on a roll.

The Dragons won their fourth straight G-MAC game to go over .500 in the conference, this time beating Ashland 64-59.

Tiffin started hot, opening on an 18-6 run. They then hit a dry spell that saw that now score for another 7:30 as Ashland went on a 10-0 run to narrow the gap to two points.

The Dragons weathered the storm and rallied for a 17-11 run to close out the half and head to the lockerroom with a 35-27 lead.

Ashland kept up the fight, exploding out of the halftime break on an 18-4 run that pushed its lead to 45-39.

With the Eagles up 52-47 with 6:40 to play, the Dragons turned up the defense and turned it around to close out the game on a 17-7 run that sealed the victory.

Tiffin hit 10 three-point shots to Ashland's 6, giving them 12 more points off treys while also connecting on 14 of 20 free throws. Ashland was held to just 6 for 23 from three-point land, while Tiffin also held an 11-3 edge in points off turnovers.

Ian Lopez hit five triples en route to 15 points and 5 rebounds, while Carius Key also reached double figures with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. 

Joshua Rivers had 9 points with 4 assists, Trent Williams added 9 points and 6 rebounds, Wesley Jordan had 8 points, and Micale Harris had 7 rebounds to lead the team.
