Dragons ride free throw line to 75-62 victory

Tiffin University (10-14, 5-11 GMAC) used a huge free throw advantage to cement a 75-62 victory on the road at Trevecca Nazarene.

The Dragons held a huge 18-2 scoring edge at the charity stripe, connecting on 18 of 22 free throws to secure the win. TU's defense also stepped up, forcing 18 turnovers while committing only 5 of its own. The Dragons used those turnovers to tally 19 points.

After a razor-thin first half that saw the Dragons leading 27-25, the Trojans opened the second half on a 14-7 run that put them up 39-34.

The Dragons kept it close and, with the score tied 44-44 with 11:56 left, TU went on a quick 9-0 burst over the next 2:00. The Dragons then maintained that lead for the remainder of the game, hitting 10 of their free throws over the final five minutes to put the game away.

Tylin Lockett-Fuller led the Dragons with 22 points and was one of four Dragons in double digits. Trent Williams added 16, while Morgan Taylor had another strong all-around game with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. Wesley Jordan also had 12 points with 9 rebounds, and Dalaino Walker added 7 points with 8 rebounds.
