Hornbuckle Signs With Men's Basketball

Tiffin men's basketball has announced the signing of Kole Hornbuckle to add to their 2020 recruiting class.

"We are pleased to announce the signing of Kole," said TU head coach Tom Church. "Kole comes from a great family and a great basketball program in Hamilton Southeastern. He's exactly the type of high character young man we want to continue to add to this program. Kole has an incredible work ethic, is ultra-talented, and gives us the size at the guard position that we were looking for. He's going to be counted on as a freshman and I'll be excited to watch his growth over his career at Tiffin."

Hornbuckle, a 6'4" guard, is from Fishers, Ind. and played his prep hoops at Hamilton Southeastern High School. During his senior season, Hornbuckle was a team captain and Co-MVP while earning IBCA All-State Honorable Mention honors, All-Hoosier Conference First Team honors, and All-County First Team honors. He averaged 11 points per game, 4.7 rebounds per game, and 2.8 assists per game during that season.

"Kole has improved and grown into a complete player this past year," said Brian Satterfield, Hornbuckle's high school coach. "His overall game is just starting to flourish. His work ethic is what separates him from most others. He was a tremendous leader this past year and we wish him the best. Tiffin is getting a great player and person."

Hamilton Southeastern also finished the 2019-20 season as Hoosier Conference Co-Champions.

"I chose Tiffin University because of the small college atmosphere with a strong academic program," said Hornbuckle. "I also like the basketball program and the energy the players exhibited during my visit. I'm looking forward to playing under the direction of Coach Church and continuing to grow and develop my basketball skills."

Hornbuckle intends to major in Finance during his time at Tiffin.
