Brimble's Season-High Not Enough at AB

ELKINS, W.Va. - Brevin Brimble made five threes and tallied a Tiffin career-best 23 points, but the Dragons could not string together a late run as they fell to Alderson Broaddus 83-75.

The Battlers led the whole way, but the margin never hit double-digits as Tiffin stayed close throughout. The Dragons cut the deficit to under five on multiple occasions in the final minutes, but could not complete the comeback.

In addition to his 23 points, Brimble recorded four rebounds and three assists. Jairus Stevens also eclipsed the 20-point mark with 22 on the night, also pulling down seven rebounds.

Wesley Jordan added 19 points and eight rebounds, while Trent Williams had nine points and three assists off the bench.

AB had the edge from the field, but Tiffin held the advantage from deep at 33.3% (9-27) to 28.6% (6-21).

The Dragons also won the turnover battle at 13-18, turning those Battler giveaways into 18 points on the offensive end.

Troy Cantrell led Alderson Broaddus with a double-double of 21 points and 13 rebounds.

Next up for the men is another road game at Ohio Dominican on Saturday, with opening tip set for 1:00 p.m.
