Dragons Drop Hard-Fought Contest to Ohio Dominican

TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin men's basketball hung with Ohio Dominican until the end on Saturday afternoon, but the Panthers pulled out a 79-67 win over the Dragons.

TU struggled to contend with ODU's star center Hasan Varence, as the big man went 15-21 from the field for 31 points while also pulling down nine rebounds.

On the Dragons' side, Jairus Stevens had a good game with 20 points and six boards, while Brevin Brimble notched TU career-bests with 17 points and 5-8 shooting from deep.

Wesley Jordan also had 10 points and eight rebounds for Tiffin.

Thanks to Brimble, the Dragons had a big advantage in bench points at 22-8, while also earning a 10-6 advantage in second-chance points.

Next up for the men is a road contest at Alderson Broaddus next Thursday. The game will be played on the campus of Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, W.Va.
