Tiffin University used solid three point shooting and balanced scoring to hold off Kentucky State 79-72 for its fourth straight victory.

Both teams opened cold from the floor, with KSU pushing out to a 16-7 lead after 10 minutes of play.

The Dragons turned it around, however, finishing the half strong on a 25-14 run to close out the half. Brevin Brimble hit a three point shot with 9 seconds left in the half to give Tiffin its first lead of the game 32-30 at the halftime break.

Tiffin continued to spread the offense around over the first 10 minutes of the second half. Tiffin shot 38 percent from three point and placed six players with more than 7 points as it opened on a 28-15 run to build a 60-45 lead with 10 minutes left in the game.

The Dragons maintained the gap, leading by 17 with 4:47 to play, when KSU made a late push. Kentucky State put together a 13-5 run to get within 9 points with 1:00 to play.

The Dragons' lead was safe, though, as KSU only hit a layup the rest of the way in falling to defeat.

Josh Williams led the Dragons with 19 points, while Wesley Jordan was the only other TU player in double figures with 16 points and 8 rebounds.

Brimble finished with 8 points, while Jairus Stevens had 7 points with 7 rebounds. Jamaal Clifton also had 7 points with 8 boards, while Austin Schaub also had 7 points.
