Jerrold King

Jerrold King is entering his first season as an assistant coach for the Tiffin football team. He will coach the tight ends for the Dragons.

Jerrold spent his first year coaching running backs and wide receivers at Quincy University where he was also named Special Teams Coordinator going into his second season. He was the Academics Coordinator and handled all the graphics for all social media platforms. As a first-year coach, he had a huge impact on the offensive scheme and player development.

Jerrold King spent the beginning of 2020 interning with Sound Mind Sound Body, a national recruiting service in Detroit, Michigan with Curtis Blackwell, former Michigan State recruiting coordinator. While there, he coached the wide receivers and part of the 7on7 travel team. He coordinated visits to some of the top programs in the country, including LSU. Helping prospects receive scholarship offers, develop their skills, organize and run camps, and help athletes become better men was part of his job description.

Prior to Sound Mind Sound Body, Jerrold interned with the athletic department at Siena Heights University. He created practice schedules for all the fall athletic teams, built newsletters for the women’s basketball team, sold tickets, and worked basketball games.

Jerrold also spent time coaching his hometown little league team in the summer. He created offensive schemes and helped players develop their football skills at a young age. He helped lead them to the playoff’s quarterfinals three consecutive years in a row.

King played wide receiver for four years at Siena Heights University. As a student athlete, he was named 2nd team all-conference, 1st team all-academic for 4 years, and was a team leader for his program his senior year. He is originally from Detroit, Michigan, where he attended Cousino High School. In high school, King was a two-time all-conference wide receiver, was named all-county his senior year, and all-academic. He also ran track and was on the varsity basketball team.

King graduated from Siena Heights University in the spring of 2020 with a B.S. in Sport Management. In addition, he obtained his Master’s degree at Quincy University.

King and his girlfriend, Mya, live in Tiffin with their dog (Ace) and bearded dragon (Zeus).
