Tiffin competes at Otterbein Hunt show

Sydney Cox tied for high point rider at the Otterbein Hunt show.

The Tiffin University Equestrian Team travelled to Westerville, Ohio, February 15 and 16 to compete at Otterbein University.

Tiffin competed against 6 other teams: Ohio State University, Ohio University, Hocking College, Otterbein University, Wilmington College, and University of Dayton.

On Saturday the team braved the cold and did well, ending 6th. Rebecca McCrea came back for her first show since being away at an internship last semester and competed in Open flat. Freshman Lynnae Krantz was awarded second place in limit flat.

On Sunday the team made a comeback and finished 4th overall. Sydney Cox finished first in intermediate over fences out of eleven riders. Devyn Hennessey earned second place in intermediate flat and Sydney Cox earned first place. Lindsay Weiser placed second in her section of the intermediate flat class. Caroline Frieders earned first place in her novice division. Caleigh Widmayer earned second place for her limit fences round. Sydney Cox also tied for high point rider and ended as reserve high point rider.

The hunt team will go on to compete at Stonegate in Athens, Ohio on February 22 & 23.
