Hunt squad finishes regular season

The hunt squad finished 6th in their final regular season hunt competition.

The Tiffin University Equestrian Team traveled to the last hunt show for the season at Ohio State's Sid Griffiths facility.
 
The show started off with the jumping divisions. In the Intermediate Jumping, senior Carolyn McCurrach rode a beautiful course, and senior Paige McCaslin had the best ride she has ever had with the team. Sophomore Lindsay Weiser rode her course very competitively, Devyn Hennessey completed her first course as an intermediate rider, and senior Melissa Macechko earned a sixth place in the field of 12 riders. In the Novice Jumping, Sydney Cox rode strong to 3rd place finish. 
 
In the Open Flat, Carolyn McCurrach rode well in a competitive  class.  In the Intermediate Flat division Paige McCaslin rode well, Lindsay Weiser received 3rd place,  Melissa Macechko 6th place, Devyn Hennessey 3rd place , and Sydney Cox secured a 6th place. In the Novice Flat, Calysta Herniter rode hard in her competitive class. In the Advanced Walk/Trot/Canter classes Emily Boersen earned a 4th place,  Bridget Webber a 5th place, Kaitlyn Borer also received a 5th place, and Melody Lozano seized a 3rd place. In the Walk/Trot division, Arissa Hendershot commanded a 3rd place finish. 
 
Tiffin University finished 6th out of 8 teams. The Champion Team was Otterbein University with 35 points, Ohio State University Reserve Champion with 30 points, Ohio University 3rd place with 25 points, The University of Dayton 4th with 15 points, Kenyon  5th place with 14 points, Tiffin University 6th place with 13 points, Willmington 6th place with 3 points and Ohio Wesleyan 7th  place with 1 point. This was the final regular season show for Tiffin, and five hunt riders will continue on to regional finals at the end of March.
