Series History:

Tiffin and Malone have played each other 88 times in program histories, with Malone holding a 55-33 advantage in the all-time series. The Pioneers have also won seven in a row, including a 14-4 win earlier this season in Florida on March 2. In that contest, TU led 4-1 after three and a half innings, but Malone scored 13 unanswered runs over the course of the rest of the game to claim the victory.

Tiffin and Cedarville have only faced off four times since the Dragons moved to Division II, and TU has taken all four contests. The most recent matchup came in March of 2016, with Tiffin coming out on top 14-6.

Dragon Details:

Tiffin will look to get back on track following a rough start to conference action that saw the Dragons swept by Ohio Dominican over the opening weekend. The Dragons are led by Zach Campbell (.408 avg, 11 RBI), Cody Orr (.357, 8 RBI) and John Heckman (.353, 2 HR, 13 RBI). Campbell's battting average is tops in the conference thus far, Heckman is first with eight doubles, and Orr leads the G-MAC with three triples already this season. Orr does it all for the Dragons, as he is also sixth in the conference with 25.1 innings pitched on the year.

Scouting the Pioneers:

Malone enters Tuesday's game on a five-game losing streak after also getting swept to open conference action last weekend by Trevecca Nazarene. Turner Hill leads the team in the early going with a .301 average, 12 runs scored, and 13 RBI. The Pioneers' strength is their pitching, as Malone leads the G-MAC with a team ERA of 3.95.

Scouting the Yellow Jackets:

Cedarville earned a split with Ohio Valley to open conference play last weekend. Payton Eeles leads the team with a .340 batting average and is tied for second in the conference with 13 walks and fifth with an on-base percentage of .500. Ross Melchoir also leads the GMAC with 22 RBI thus far. Gage Voorhees is the ace of the staff, coming into the weekend with a 3-0 record and a save, while only allowing two earned runs in 16.2 innings of work for a 1.08 ERA while striking out 21 and walking just two. Cedarville will travel to Urbana for a nonconference matchup on Wednesday before hosting Tiffin over the weekend.
