Parfenov put forth an impressive showing in Tiffin men's tennis' first action of the fall at the Charger Invitational over the weekend.

The junior went 2-1 in the A singles bracket, upsetting the No. 10-ranked player in the region from Ashland in the opening round via an 11-9 tiebreaker and taking down Hillsdale in another three-set match to reach the final.

Paired with newcomer Michael Gurtner, Parfenov also won his opening doubles match in the A bracket, defeating Ashland 6-3 before falling to Purdue Northwest in the semifinals.
