Donathan was very impressive at the NCAA Super Region III tournament on Saturday in Indianapolis, winning the 149-lb. bracket to automatically punch his ticket to Nationals and help Tiffin to a second-place team finish.

The 7th-ranked freshman had little trouble in his three matches of regionals, pinning Davenport in the quarterfinal before picking up a 6-1 win over Findlay in the semifinal and a 10-3 victory over the 4th-ranked wrestler from Ashland in the title bout.

As a team, Tiffin had all 10 wrestlers place at the meet, totalling 122 points that was right behind regional champion Notre Dame at 127.5 points.

Five Dragons in total earned trips to Sioux Falls for the NCAA Championships, with Trey Grine (2nd, 157), Bryan LaVearn (2nd, 165), Hayden Bronne (3rd, 174), and Nick Mason (1st, 197) all joining Donathan.
