Head Track and Field/Cross Country Coach Jeremy Croy enters his 22nd season at Tiffin University in 2021-22. Since his arrival, Coach Croy has led the Dragons to 20 consecutive winning seasons. Through the 2021 spring season, the men have posted a 1347-179 record (.882) and the women 859-338 (.717) during that same time. The Dragons also have had over 279 All-Americans (Academic and Athletic) and shattered every school record on the books.

The Dragons had another standout season in 2020-21, winning the GMAC Men's Outdoor Championship while finishing second at the GMAC Men's Indoor Championships. TU's men qualified 13 athletes to NCAA Nationals, posting 10 First Team All American honors including national champions in outdoor long jump and indoor shot put while finishing 9th nationally in indoor and outdoor. The women qualified 11 athletes with 10 First Team All Americans, finishing a best-ever 13th at the NCAA Outdoor National Championships.

The Dragons continued their dominance in 2019-20 despite only competing in the indoor season due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Croy led a Tiffin men's squad that was ranked in the top-five of the USTFCCCA's rating index each week, including three weeks in the No. 1 spot. Prior to the weekend that the indoor championships were scheduled, the Dragons were ranked third in the nation.

Tiffin qualified nine athletes and 11 entries to indoor nationals on the men's side. The men claimed their second-straight GMAC Championship, won handily by 93 points over the next highest program. During the nine weeks of the regular season, the Dragons also received 12 of the possible 18 GMAC Athlete of the Week honors. On the women's side, TU had seven qualifiers and eight official entries at NCAA Indoor Nationals, the most in the women's program history. The Lady Dragons have been trending upward quickly as of late, earning their first-ever DII top-ten ranking from the USTFCCCA in 2019-20, hovering in the 7-13 range for most of the year. Tiffin also had its first-ever female National Champion a season ago, as Marisa Gwinner took the outdoor high jump title as a freshman.

Tiffin track & field kept rolling in 2018-19, finishing third at the Indoor Championships and fifth at Outdoors. The Dragons earned 16 All-American honors between the indoor and outdoor championships, including four individual National Champions: Jonte Baker (Indoor 60m), Marisa Gwinner (Outdoor high jump), Baker (Outdoor 100m), and the Outdoor 4x100m squad (Baker, Zion Cross, Elijah Gauldin, Quincy Scott). Tiffin swept all four conference titles between men's and women's indoor and outdoor, earned 64 All-GMAC honors, and received 24 GMAC Athlete of the Week honors. Croy was also named the Coach of the Year at all four conference championships.

Croy had the honor of coaching cross country standout James Ngandu during his stellar Dragons career. In cross country, Ngandu enjoyed another stellar season in 2017, culminating his cross country career by winning the NCAA Division II National Championship by 34 seconds over his nearest competitor in 30:18.8. Ngandu finished the season undefeated, winning his 3rd straight GLIAC title, 2nd consecutive Midwest Region title, was named GLIAC Male Athlete of the Year, Midwest Region Athlete of the Year, and National Runner of the Year.

Coach Croy's track and field team continued their string of excellence in 2018, finishing second in the nation by one point at the NCAA Indoor Championships while finishing 3rd at the Outdoor Championships. The indoor performance nearly garnered TU their third straight DII National Championship, as TU won back-to-back men's NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championships in 2016 and 2017. Tiffin had three individual champions in 2017, and for the first time in program history the men's team won the GLIAC Indoor Championship. During the 2017 outdoor season, the men's team finished 2nd in the GLIAC, scoring 162 team points, and the women's team finished 4th with 74 team points. At the Outdoor NCAA Championships, Tiffin qualified 15 athletes with the men's team finishing 3rd overall.

Coach Croy was named 2021 GMAC Men's Outdoor Coach of the Year, just one of many coaching honors accumulated over his career. He was also named 2020 USTFCCCA Midwest Region Indoor Men's Coach of the Year along with GMAC Indoor Coach of the Year. The region honor marks the fifth time in the last six years that he has been named the Midwest Region Men's Coach of the Year. In addition, Coach Croy was named USTFCCCA National Coach of the Year and GLIAC Coach of the Year for the 2017 indoor season. In 2016, Coach Croy was named GLIAC Coach of the Year and National Coach of the year as his 2016 men's indoor track and field team won Tiffin's first NCAA Division II National Championship.

Both track and field squads also gained their highest ever conference placing in Coach Croy's first season and continued that success during their last season in the NAIA with the men's squad winning their fourth consecutive conference championship. Coach Croy was also recognized as the 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007 AMC Coach of the Year for winning the AMC Championship and finishing the season with a record of 51-2 in 2007.

Both teams continue to be regularly ranked in the NCAA II top 20. These rankings are highlighted by the men's team finishing 5th in the nation in both 2014 and 2015. The women have had rankings as high as 10th during this same stretch.

Not only stellar in the competition realm, the track and cross country squads have great success in the the classroom. The 2019-20 women's track squad had a team GPA of 3.30 while the men were at 3.20. After graduation over 20+ Dragons Alum have continued their careers in collegiate athletic coaching, representing universities all over the country within NCAA I, II, and III.

Croy was also named GLIAC Outdoor Track and Field Coach of the Year in 2011 and followed up that season with NCAA II Regional Coach of the Year honors as well. He replicated the feat in 2014 with the GLIAC and NCAA Regional Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year award.

Croy is an Ohio Northern University graduate with a degree in Sports Management. He also was a four-year letter winner in track and cross-country, earning MVP honors for the cross-country squad.
