Sugey Ceja was one of five placers at the WCWA National Championships, taking third place in the top finish for Tiffin.
Ceja (109 pounds) opened in the semifinals with a loss by fall to top-seed Augsburg in 42 seconds but bounced back nicely with a tech fall win 10-0 over Jamestown and a third place victory 15-10 over Eastern Oregon.
Three other Dragons grabbed fifth place finishes. Savannah Stacks (123) fell in the semis 9-3 to Life, then fell in the consolations in a narrow 6-4 decision to Adrian. She came back nicely in the 5th place match, beating Schreiner by fall in 1:45.
Eunique Davis (136) battled through the consolation rounds to grab her 5th place mark. She defeated Presbyterian, fell to Jamestown 10-0, but then outpointed Campbellsville 12-0.
Taylor Hites (155) also took 5th. She fell in the semis to Oklahoma City 12-1 and dropped another narrow score 4-2 to Gannon. She won over Jamestown via forfeit for fifth.
Jessie Lee (191) was Tiffin's final placer, taking 6th. She opened with a 7-3 win over Central Methodist but then fell in her final two matches to Oklahoma City 10-0 and Midland 11-0.
All five wrestlers earned All American honors by finishing in the Top 8 in their brackets.
