Dragons compete at East Stroudsburg Open

Tiffin University competed at the East Stroudsburg Open, with six Dragons placing in their weight classes.

Leading the way was Taylor Hites at 155 pounds, where she took second place. She posted wins by fall over Emmanuel in 1:00 and East Stroudsburg in 56 seconds. She then beat Emmanuel 8-3 before falling in the title match 11-0 to Emmanuel.

Trinity Oredina was a winner at 101 pounds, where she topped Nassau by injury and then outpointed Limestone 10-0 to win the round robin format.

Two Dragons took third place, as Natalia Sovero (116) posted wins via fall over Limestone in 2:15 and Nassau in 1:15 before falling to Emmanuel 10-0. Shanna Morris (123) also placed third, falling in a semifinal match to Emmanuel in 5:54.

Sugey Ceja (116) was a fourth place finisher, defeating Emmanuel and Limestone by pins at 1:00 and 2:29, respectively, before losing to Presbyterian by fall in 39 seconds. Eunique Davis (143, unatt.) was also 4th, beating Emmanuel 10-0 before falling to Presbyterian 9-5.
