Dragons shine at MacMurray Open

Tiffin University had five Top 5 finishes at the Bob Kellogg Open hosted by MacMurray College, with Sugey Ceja taking first.

Ceja (123 pounds) posted three wins, pinning Viking Wresling Club in 1:25, then registering two tech falls 12-0 and 10-0 over McKendree for the first place finish.

Brooke Richards (109) came in second in her class, getting a 11-0 win over Lyon and a pin in 48 seconds over Central Christian before falling 10-0 to McKendree in the title match.

Eunique Davis (143) also finished second, posting a 10-0 win over Lyon and a 15 second pin against Viking before getting pinned in 1:24 against McKendree in the first place match.

Alexis Young (170) posted a third place finish. After an injury win over Adrian, Young bounced back from two losses against Missouri Valley and McKendree to win by pin in 5:11 against Mac-Utt for third place.

Jaelyn Fazio (116) also posted a pin in 5:25 over Viking en route to a 4th place finish.

Taylor Hite (155) had an 8-4 win over Adrian, while Jannie Renderos (155) also had a 10-0 win over MacMurray.
