Tiffin University's women's wrestling team opened their inaugural season at the Lion Duals held in Franklin Springs, Georgia.

TU battled five other teams in duals, coming up short in each contest. They fell to Emmanuel Red 32-15, King 35-12, Alberta 34-11, Life 35-12, and Emmanuel Gold 42-5.

In the opener with Emmanuel Red, Trinity Oredina (101), Brooke Richards (109), and Jessie Lee (191) all picked up forfeit victories.

Emily McKinney (116) and Lee picked up forfeit wins against King, while Taylor Hites (155) got TU its first match win of the day against Alberta by tech fall 10-0. She was joined by Richards (116) with another forfeit win.

Against Life, McKhenna Calhoun (170) got the first of two wins on the day with a pin in 2:30, while Shanna Morris (130) also won by forfeit.

Calhoun got another win by fall against Emmanuel Gold in just 20 seconds. It was Tiffin's lone win against Emmanuel Gold.
