INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has announced the 2018 Women's Volleyball All-Conference teams, and Tiffin volleyball's Jenna Huffman and Amanda Curry have each received honors.
Huffman earned a spot on the G-MAC First Team, while Curry was named to the Second Team.
With the selection, Huffman keeps her streak alive of earning first team honors in every year of her collegiate career, as the junior was also a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team member in both 2016 and 2017.
Huffman enjoyed a fantastic junior campaign, leading the conference during the regular season in hitting percentage (.389), blocks (126 total, 1.21 per set), and points per set (4.84), while also ranking fourth in kills per set (3.81). Her marks also showed up across NCAA DII top-25 rankings in hitting percentage (16th), total blocks (18th), blocks per set (25th), and points per set (9th).
The middle hitter recorded double-digit kills in 26 of 32 matches, including each of the final 16 contests. Huffman also registered 12 double-doubles in the kill and dig categories this year, and received G-MAC Player of the Week honors three separate times in 2018.
This is the second all-conference award of Curry's career, as the senior outside hitter was named All-GLIAC Honorable Mention a season ago.
Curry was an anchor and leader for the Dragons in her senior season, second on the team during regular season action only to Huffman in kills with 316. She was also fourth on the team with 52 total blocks, and spent some time on the back line in a few matches this season to bring her digs total up to 93 on the year.
Huffman and Curry led the Dragons to their best campaign in recent memory in 2018, as Tiffin finished the regular season with the third-best record in the G-MAC at 15-4 (21-10 overall). The year came to end on Tuesday night, however, as TU fell in the G-MAC quarterfinals at Lake Erie.
