Tiffin Completes Season Sweep of Ohio Dominican

TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin women's volleyball rolled to another 3-0 victory on Saturday afternoon, defeating Ohio Dominican University 25-18, 25-13, 25-17. The Dragons improve to 19-9 on the year and 13-4 in the G-MAC with just two conference games remaining.

As it stands now, the Dragons would enter the G-MAC Championships with the third best record in the league in their inaugural voyage into the conference.

Tiffin overmatched Ohio Dominican right from the start, using a 7-1 run to take a 16-9 lead during the first set. The Panthers were able to claw back to a four-point deficit, 22-18, but three straight Dragon points including a Jenna Huffman kill sealed the first-set victory for Tiffin.

Set two was not nearly as close, as the Dragons went up 20-8 before taking the 25-13 victory. In the third set, ODU trailed by just one, 10-9, but Tiffin responded with four unanswered and nine of the next 12 to go up 19-12. That margin would hold, as three Huffman kills wrapped up a 15-17 victory and ended the match.

Jenna Huffman finished with 13 kills, 11 digs, and eight blocks for the Dragons, who outhit ODU .282 to .025 in the match. Continuing her march through the TU record books, Huffman has now moved into 10th all-time in career solo blocks with a total of 86.

Sydney Gilland added seven kills and four blocks, while Grace Schreiber also contributed four blocks.

Tiffin will next make the short drive to Ashland for a non-conference matchup against a familiar foe on Tuesday, as the Dragons and Eagles will do battle beginning at 7:00 p.m.
