The Tiffin University volleyball team dominated the Purdue Northwest Pride on Saturday afternoon, winning in straight sets. The win was the fourth in a row for Tiffin and qualified them for the GLIAC Postseason Volleyball Tournament.

In the 1st set, Tiffin fell behind from the start, but rallied to tie the score at 11-11. Then Tiffin turned on the jets and left the Pride in the dust with a 14-5 run to win the set 25-16. Tiffin hit at .333 clip and forced 10 Pride attack errors.

The second set saw Tiffin get off to a good start and hold a slim 6-4 lead. The Dragons slowly churned along, steadily increasing their lead as the set progressed. Before Purdue Northwest knew what hit them Tiffin took the set 25-16 and move to the third set in hopes of a sweep.

The Dragons never trailed in the final set as they were able to hold a slim 10-7 lead. The kills kept on coming for Tiffin as they rolled to another 25-16 set win to drop Purdue Northwest in straight sets.

Amanda Curry had another good game as she was the only Dragons in double digits in kills with 11. In the two games this weekend Curry collected 30 kills. Loryn Huffman and Emily Weithman each logged 18 assists, and Jenna Huffman checked in with six kills, 12 digs, and five assisted blocks.

The Dragons improve to 18-12 overall and 9-6 in the GLIAC. Tiffin has won four straight games and have won eight of their last 10 matches. The win qualifies Tiffin for the GLIAC Tournament, their first appearance since 2010. Tiffin will have a non-conference match this Tuesday, traveling to take on Wheeling Jesuit.
