Ray Robinson enters his 10th year with the track and field team in 2020-21, serving as the Associate Head Coach and Throws Coach.
 
Robinson has coached 40 First Team All-Americans in the throwing events, including four Individual National Champions and five Individual Runner-up finishes. All twelve Tiffin throwing records have been broken during his tenure. Robinson was named the 2017 and 2019 USTFCCCA DII Indoor National Assistant Coach of the Year.
 
Robinson has also worked extensively with John Godina, a four-time world champion, Olympic medalist, and holder of the NCAA Championships shot put record. Robinson had the privilege of coaching three-time NCAA DII National Champion Coy Blair at the 2016 U.S. Olympic trials as well as at the 2017 World University Games in Taipei, Taiwan. Robinson also coached Adriane Blewitt at the 2012 Olympic Trials. Robinson has coached an athlete at the USATF National Championships in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 (Indoor).
 
 
Robinson previously held the TU school record in the discus throw and is also on the top-ten performance list in the hammer throw and weight throw. Placing three years in the discus at the conference meet helped Robinson earn All-GLIAC honors each of those years. He was also selected to the GLIAC All-Academic team four times, and earned Academic All-American honors twice.
 
Robinson is a Tiffin University graduate with a degree in Human Resources. He obtained his Masters of Business Administration also from Tiffin University with a concentration in Human Resources.  Ray is married to Kristen Robinson, a former All-American shot putter for the Dragons and TU Hall of Fame inductee in 2019. Ray, his wife, and daughters McKenzie Jo, Jordy Rae, and Emileigh James reside in Tiffin.
