Women’s Track and Field Team Competes on Day One of Myrtle Beach Bash

The Tiffin University women's track and field team competed at the Myrtle Beach Team Bash.

The Dragons were in fifth place overall, trailing leader Coastal Carolina 16-6. Alcorn State was second, followed by Central State and the College of Charleston.

Madeline Hayes tied for first in the pole vault with two other athletes including teammate Samantha Smith with each clearing a mark of 3.50 meters.

Myla Carter took second in the 400-meter run with a time of 1:03.90 and Nydia Brewer finished eighth with a time of 1:06.39.

Rajiah Andrews was third in the 100-meter dash prelims with a time of 11.88.

Amirah Strauther finished sixth in the 110 hurdles prelims with a time of 14.93.

The 4 x 200 relay team of Roby, Barnes, Davis and Richardson came in fourth with a time of 1:46.80.

Marisa Gwinner came in fifth in the long jump with a mark of 5.44 meters.

Brook Boes finished ninth in the hammer throw with a mark of 44.83 meters.
