Nicole Berry has been named G-MAC Field Athlete of the Week.
Berry established herself as a provisional qualifier in two different throwing events as the indoor champion Dragons competed at the Emory Invitational.
Berry smashed the conference shot put record with an attempt of 15.56m (51' 0.75") on her sixth and final attempt from the ring in Atlanta.
It represented considerable improvement from her first outdoor meet with 14.41m being her long throw.
Berry is also now fifth all-time in conference outdoor history in the discus, leading a trio of freshmen around the league who currently have top marks in the event. She tossed the discus 45.79m (150' 3").
Berry is now a two-time conference athlete of the week recipient as a freshman, once in indoor and once for outdoor.
