It was a clean sweep for Tiffin as Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week awards were announced on Monday afternoon by the league.
Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Rajiah Andrews
Andrews battled her way to victories in the 60-meter dash and 60-meter hurdles while additionally placing in the top six of long jump at the Tiffin Dragon Open.
The sophomore forced her way into the top 10 times in the conference record books with a 7.76 clocked in the 60-meter dash finals.
Her 7.76 is tied for 10th with several others. She ran 7.87 in the preliminaries, coming second only to former track athlete of the week teammate Brittany Holbrook.
She also ran a 9.09 in both the finals and prelims of the 60-meter hurdles to beat out the field.
Women's Field Athlete of the Week
Nicole Berry
Berry is quickly closing in on the conference record in the shot put, currently held by former Findlay All-American Alex DeVincentis.
The freshman showcased her skills at the Tiffin Dragon Open with a season-best performance in the event, which gave her a win.
Berry also placed third in the weight throw in her third meet of the indoor season.
On her third attempt, Berry tossed for a distance of 15.21m (49' 11"). Her previous season long was 14.89m in the Oiler Opener.
The 15.21m represents the second-longest distance in conference history.
