Women's Tennis secures share of title with 7-0 win over Cedarville

Tiffin University (19-4, 6-1 GMAC) secured a share of the 2022 GMAC regular-season championship with a 7-0 win over Cedarville.

The championship is the second consecutive GMAC regular season title for the Dragons' women's tennis team after an unbeaten mark last year.

In doubles play, Allessandra Maganuco/Anaelle Lepinay edged Lauren Hollis/Abby Totten 7-5, while Emily Barrett/Emily Young and Carina Avram/Sharanya Shetty both won by 6-2 margins.

TU continued its streak in singles play. Emily Barrett picked up a 6-4, 6-3 win, while Carina Avram dominated her match 6-1, 6-4. Maganuco posted a straight set win 6-3, 6-2, while Jessica Peace offered up a bagel and breadstick 6-0, 6-1. Sharanya Shetty had little trouble with a 6-0, 6-3 win, and Shea Foster dropped just two games in a 6-1, 6-1 victory.
