Tiffin University's women's tennis team competed at the Ball State Invitational Sept. 24-25, with two doubles teams winning their Consolation Finals.
The doubles squad of Allesandra Maganuco/Sharanya Shetty went 2-1 overall, falling to Ball State 8-1 in their opener but then rebounding to beat Youngstown State 6-4 and Eastern Michigan 6-0 in the final.
TU's other doubles team of Emily Barrett/Anaelle Lepinay also went 2-1 and won the Consolation final in their bracket. They lost their first match 8-3 to Youngstown State, then beat Wisconsin-Milwaukee 7-6 (7-3) before knocking off Oakland 6-4 in the final.
Lepinay picked up the lone singles victory, going 1-2 overall. She defeated Oakland 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 to advance to the Consolation final where she fell to Eastern Michigan 6-3, 7-5.
