TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin women's tennis swept the doubles matches to earn the point and took four of six singles to defeat Lake Superior State 5-2 on Monday evening in the Heminger Center.
With the win, the Dragons improve to 3-1 on the season.
Juliette Sirgant won what was the most exciting match of the day at No. 2 singles, taking the back-and-forth battle 7-6, 6-7, 7-6. Lauren Prince also won 6-2, 6-2 at No. 4 singles, and Sirgant and Prince teamed up at No. 1 doubles for a 6-4 victory.
Emily Sim won her No. 3 singles match 6-2, 6-3 and paired with Abbie-Jade Riley for a 6-2 won at No. 2 doubles.
The duo of Milah Ryland and Shea Foster won at No. 3 singles, 6-2, and it was Ryland who won the final singles match by a 6-3, 6-2 score at No. 5.
Tiffin will next travel to South Carolina for their Spring Break trip that starts with a match against Lenoir-Rhyne on Saturday, March 2.
