Tiffin University (1-0, 1-0 GLIAC) opened its 2017-18 GLIAC season with a solid 7-2 win over Michigan Tech at the PM Gillmor courts.

The Dragons got off on the right foot by sweeping the doubles matches, including two razor thin decisions that gave TU momentum heading to singles play. Adel Musina/Emily Sim won 8-4, while Juliette Sirgant/Anais Geslin eked out a 9-7 decision. The closest victory went to Abbie-Jade Riley/Milah Ryland, who won 9-8 (5).

TU then proceeded to win four of six singles matches. Musina won 6-2, 6-2, Sim won 6-3, 6-2, Sirgant posted a 6-0, 6-3 win, and Geslin won 6-2, 6-4. 

Riley fell 6-2, 6-3 and Ryland dropped a 6-4, 6-3 decision.
