TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin women's soccer will travel to Walsh and Malone this weekend for their final road trip of the 2019 season, taking on the Cavaliers on Thursday night and the Pioneers on Saturday afternoon.

Dragon Details:
After scoring their first victory of the season two weeks ago over Alderson Broaddus, Tiffin dropped a pair of home contests last weekend to Ursuline and Lake Erie. The Dragons outplayed the Storm over the 90 minutes, outshooting them 20-17, but it was a Lake Erie goal in just the seventh minute of the game that held up for a 1-0 Storm win.
Sierra Besecker leads the Dragons on the season with seven points on three goals and an assist. Lily Cady also has three goals for six points, while Emma Siler has two goals and an assist for five points.
Julia Effinger and Claudia Santillan both have a goal and two assists for four points, and Lauryn Grcic and Leila Hannaoui have the other TU goals along with one assist apiece for three points.
Nahomi Lopez is third the GMAC with 88 saves, holding a 2.30 goals against average and .759 save percentage in 12 games.
Scouting the Cavaliers:
Walsh enters the weekend third in the GMAC standings at 7-2, just a half-game behind second-place Cedarville. The fell behind the Yellow Jackets with a 1-0 loss last Saturday, but had won seven of eight before that defeat.
The Cavaliers keep games close, not scoring a ton but also not allowing very many opportunities for opposing offenses. Walsh is sixth in the conference in scoring at 1.43 goals per game and fourth in goals against average at just .93 allowed per contest.
Senior forward Olivia Peters accounts for the majority of the Cavaliers' offense with five goals and six assists for 16 points. She is joined by a pair of players with eight points on the year, Maddie Malinowski (3g, 2a) and Brianna Sanborn (4g), as well as Hannah Bowman with seven points on three goals and one assist.
Mickey McClanahan is one of the top goalkeepers in the conference, holding a .93 goals against average (4th), .833 save percentage (3rd), and eight shutouts (1s).
Scouting the Pioneers:
Malone is currently 4-5 in the conference, currently seventh in the GMAC and fighting for a playoff spot. They have struggled as of late, however, dropping their last four contests by a combined score of 10-2.
The Pioneers contrast Walsh in that their offense is higher-powered than their defense, ranking fourth in the conference in goals per game at 2.00 while coming in sixth with a 1.17 goals against average.
Leading the attack is junior Danielle Lung, who enters the weekend second in the GMAC and 23rd nationally with 11 goals on the season. She is also third in the conference with 22 points, having yet to record an assist.
Only two other Pioneers have more than one goal with Kirsten Hilty (4g, 1a, 9p) and Keeley Malley (3g, 2a, 8p).
Haleigh Seman has recorded the majority of the minutes in goal for Malone, registering a 1.22 goals against average, 38 saves, a .745 save percentage, and three shutouts.
