Dragons Blanked By Eagles

TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin women's soccer was unable to find the net on Tuesday afternoon, falling to Ashland by a 3-0 score. 

The Dragons managed seven shots in the match, putting two on goal to force Eagle keeper Abby Lampe into two saves Dragon goalie Nahomi Lopez tallied four saves, with only seven of Ashland's 23 shots put on frame.

Seven different Dragons tallied shots, with Sierra Besecker and Lauryn Grcic notching the shots on goal.

Ashland got the the board ten minutes into the contest, as Tori Baker sent a ball in from the right side that found Makenzie Kelly on the left post, who headed the ball up and over Lopez and just under the crossbar for the opening goal. The Eagle lead grew to 2-0 in the 26th minute as Brianna Fourman collected a cross near the left post and scored.

The score would remain 2-0 until late in the second-half, when Ashland made it 3-0 as Faith Lewis beat her defender and slotted the ball past Lopez.

The Dragons will hit the road this weekend and look to earn their first victory of 2019 when they visit the University of Charleston on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
