Dragons fall on last second goal 3-2

The Tiffin University women's soccer team played a tight away game this afternoon, falling to Kentucky Wesleyan 3-2 on a last second goal.
 
The Panthers struck first, scoring in the 22nd minute to lead 1-0. The Dragons tied the score in the 39th minute, with Alli McCabe finding the net with a breakaway shot, assisted by Abby Morillon.
 
At the end of the 1st half, the Panthers held a slight 7-6 advantage in shots, and the Dragons possessed a 2-1 advantage in corner kicks. 
 
The two teams stayed neck and neck through the 2nd half. Kentucky Wesleyan attempted 11 shots, and the Dragons took 8 shots. Tiffin's Shelby Haworth saved five shots in the half.
 
The Panthers got their lead back with a goal from Breigh Haase, assisted by Kamryn Pulliam in the 50th minute. The Dragons came up with their equalizer goal in the 54th minute, as Lauryn Grcic utilized the open net chance with an assist by Alli McCabe
 
Both teams fought hard to find the game winning goal over the closing minutes, with the Panthers hitting pay dirt in the 90th minute. The winning goal came from Sarah Haleman assisted by Natalie Hinchcliffe.
 
Tiffin fired 14 shots in total, compared to 18 for the Panthers. Both goalies saved 6 shots in total. Tiffin had 4 corner kicks and the Panthers kicked 3.
 
Tiffin falls to 0-7 overall and 0-5 in the conference.
 
Tiffin will be back in action on September 20 for their next home game against Cedarville.
