TU falls by one goal again in 1-0 loss to Storm

The Tiffin University women's soccer team lost their fourth straight game decided by one goal on Thursday, falling 1-0 to the Lake Erie Storm.
 
The Dragons (0-4, 0-2 GMAC) and  Storm were neck and neck for the majority of the 1st half, with both teams taking nearly the same amount of shots (TU 11, Lake Erie 12). The one difference between the two teams came in the 27th minute of the game. Lake Erie's Ashley Mundey knocked home the rebound of her own shot to put the Storm ahead 1-0.  
 
In the 2nd half, the Dragons offense continued to send plenty of shots towards the goal as they outshot the Storm 12-6. Despite the shot advantage, the Dragons could not find the game-tying goal.  
 
Overall, the Dragons took 23 shots with Lake Erie making 5 saves. Lake Erie hit 18 shots, with Tiffin goalkeeper Shelby Haworth posting 7 saves. Both teams had 4 corner kicks. 
 
Tiffin will remain home for their next game on Sept. 6 when they take on Ursuline in another G-MAC matchup.
