Tiffin University fell in a tri-match with Baldwin-Wallace and UNC-Pembroke, losing to B-W 34-11 and UNC-Pembroke 38-15.
In the opener with B-W, the Dragons got wins in three weight classes. Branden Mendoza (125 pounds) got a big 16-1 win, while Iran Love (184) posted an 8-4 decision and Clayton Ours (285) won 6-2.
Dylan Mansor (157) lost a close 6-3 decision, while Elijah Hunter (141) and Kolby Crowe (174) lost via falls.
Against UNC-Pembroke, the Dragons got three more wins. Mendoza picked up a 16-0 tech fall victory, while Hunter got a pin fall victory in 30 seconds. Ours also got a major decision 11-1 at heavyweight.
The Dragons had two close matches go against them, as Mansor fell 4-2 and Jackson Collins (133) fell 5-0. Bryson Cole (149), Sam Lofaso III (165), Crowe, Love, and Geraldo Moya (197) all lost via pins.
