Tiffin University sported five individual champions along with two runner-ups as the Dragons won the Ohio Northern Invitational.

TU beat the other teams in the 13 team field with a total of 200 points. Ohio Northern was second with 151 while Heidelberg was third with 149.5.

Christopher Donathan was champion at 149 pounds. After getting a forfeit win over Alma, he posted two straight pins over Mount St. Joseph in 43 seconds and Adrian in 1:39. He then dominated Ohio Northern 14-2 before claiming the title with a 11-6 decision over Adrian.

Another title came at 165 pounds, as Derek Gross got the championship with a pin over Ohio Northern in 2:30. Prior to that, he had a pin over Defiance in 2:54, a forfeit win over Adrian, a punishing 19-3 score over Trine, anda a 5-3 win over Heidelberg.

Richard Screptock kept the wins coming at 174 pounds. He opened with two shutout wins over Trine 15-0 and Otterbein 4-0. He then put the title away with a 9-5 win over Adrian and a narrow 5-3 victory over Lycoming.

TU closed out the invite in strong fashion, with Nick Mason winning at 197 and David Henson gettin the 285 pound title. Mason pinned four of his five opponents, flattening Adrian in 4:42, Trine in 2:39, Lycoming in 4:14, and Adrian in 3:00. He then dominated Adrian 18-3 in the championship.

Henson, meanwhile, opened with pins over Defiance in 1:27 and Lycoming in 1:03. He kept up the solid effort with a 11-1 win over Heidelberg, a 6-1 score over Alma, and a 5-2 victory over Lycoming.

Dylan Mansor got a 2nd place finish at 141 pounds. He pinned Lycoming in 6:19, then powered his way to a 15-2 score over Adrian and a 12-1 win over Ohio Wesleyan. After pinning Ohio Northern in 2:01, Mansor fell in the title match to Heidelberg 13-5.

Bryan LaVearn also got a runner-up mark at 157 pounds. He pinned Adrian in 4:26, then blasted past Ohio Northern 10-1. Two more pins followed over Lycoming in 4:31 and Ohio Northern in 1:25. He then fell in sudden victory to Otterbein 7-5.

Nicholas Smythe (184) also got a 6th place mark. He had wins over Wimington in 5:22, Otterbein in 2:20, and a 16-6 decision over Trine.

Also posting wins for TU was Nathaniel Stubblefield (125) in 2:12 over Alma and 8-4 over Muskingum; Rico Puente (133) 7-5 over Muskingum and in 3:41 over Mount St. Joseph; Collin Adkins (157) 8-6 over Defiance, 15-14 over Wilmington, in 1:43 over Heidelberg and in 1:35 over Hunter Langeloh of TU; and Langeloh also got a win over Defiance 15-0 and a pin in 1:02 over Adrian.
