Bryan LaVearn has earned another GMAC Athlete of the Week honor.
LaVearn was a standout at the Lake Erie-hosted Storm Open, working his way to a runner-up finish in his tough 157-pound weight class.
LaVearn powered his way through the 157 pound division for a second-place finish, posting decisions over Edinboro 8-1 and Notre Dame (OH) 8-0 while also pinning Ohio in 2:59 and Alderson Broaddus in 4:14.
His sole loss came in the championship against Ohio State in a slim 5-3 decision.
LaVearn was also named the conference athlete of the week during the third week of the regular season.
He remains ranked 12th nationally by InterMat in his weight class.
